Production Log 3 : Contents Page 1 + 2

For Both of my contents pages I wanted to mirror the style of the front page of my magazine, to do this I kept the contents page simple and refined to reflect the house style of the magazine. to do this included the same fonts as my front cover, changing them slightly so they can be read better as the reader will be closer to the text, I also included all the relevant information on the covers which helps the readers know which edition this magazine is, all the contents of the magazine are also included on the page so the readers can find what article they want quickly. This Design philosophy was applied to both pages to create a uniformed look.

Contents 1:

To start I have started with a template which can be used for my other designs, this design is simple and modern, reflecting the overall look of my magazine. This design includes: the masthead, issue number, page number and date of the magazine, it also includes a call to action, referring viewers to the website for more content.

Next, I added the articles themselves to the page, some of these articles are on the magazine website as well, ensuring cross media convergence between the magazine and the website. I have also added the page numbers for ease of access and to add the features typical of a contents page.

Next I added the main images to the page, I have organised these images in a way which ensures the main articles get a larger section of the page as they may be what the audience wants to see more of.

Finally I have added the captions to the main images on the contents page, this gives the page a more finalized look, ensuring the modern style present throughout.
