Planning Task 5 : Photography Planning

Who will you be using as your models for each photograph?

I will trial a photoshoot with the potential models as they might not be the best pick for the magazine as they could be 'camera-shy' For my models I will have two different ethnic groups represented, as this will show the magazine has representation as the target audience is large. 

Location for photography?

i will have a photo shoot in a outside location with the mise-en-scene reflecting the colder months these editions are published, these could be taken in a city as they are hotspots for fashionable activity and may incite the target market to read the magazine. The inside photo shoot may be inside a location like a bowling alley or arcade as these could be fashionable locations to the 16 - 25 target market. 

Costume? 

the costume for the model will be a winter themed outfit, as these editions will be published near the end of winter, however for the inside photo shoots there may be a change in costume as the mise-en-scene would be different to a outside location. The clothes will be selected from a modern and fashionable brand as the target audience of the magazine would want to see what is currently fashionable. 

Props?

props could be the placement of objects already out in the open to allow for a more natural photo-shoot, these props could be moved to help the theme of the shoot, however my own props may need to be sourced to none are available.

Body language of model? 

The body language of the model will be a serious but natural look, almost as if the photo shoot was not planned, and the model is simply acting natural. this will help the fashion aspect of the magazine as the relaxed nature of the model will help present the clothing in a better way. 

Lighting? 

For lighting i will have to keep in mind the model needs to be visible and the clothes need to bee shown off as well, meaning i will need to make sure the lighting is bright allowing for a display of the model. However i may include some darker shots which would allow the photo shoot to feel better themed. 

Who will be taking your photographs and what equipment will they use?

As i am well immersed with traditional camera equipment i will use a Sony Alpha camera as i find this camera is better than my phone camera. i will also take these pictures myself as i am confident in my ability to take these pictures. I may also seek help from members of my family as some of them are professional photographers.
